TZ APAC gathers top Web3 leaders for SFF 2022 Innovation Lab Crawl

Participants can look forward to picking up insights on topics like regulatory technology, tokenization, e-VCCs and corporate governance from leaders at ShuttleOne, InvestaX, Capbridge, RegPac and more.

The TZ APAC Tezos Developer Hub is opening its doors to participants of SFF 2022 as part of the Innovation Lab Crawl. Riveting discussions on crucial Web3 topics is high on the agenda, with some of the industry’s most senior personalities gathering on 31 October and 1 November for a host of action-packed panels. In addition to gleaning important insights, participants will also get the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with other like-minded professionals in the Web3 and FinTech spaces.

Here is a breakdown on the activities planned out for the Innovation Lab Crawl at the TZ APAC Tezos Developer Hub.

Day 1 (Monday - 31st October 2022)

TZ APAC presents: Uncover all things e-VCC, tokenization, and DeFi from Asia’s top Web3 leaders.

The Variable Capital Company (VCC), per InvestaX, is a new corporate structure for investment funds in Singapore, under which multiple funds or collective investment schemes may be gathered under the umbrella of a single corporate entity, and yet remain ring-fenced from each other. As of 2022, over 400 VCCs have been established in Singapore, demonstrating eager adoption despite operating in an economy reeling from a pandemic.

“Project e-VCC” was an initiative led by InvestaX to explore the potential of tokenization of the Singapore VCC structure. Tezos was selected as the blockchain protocol provider for this global-first initiative. Here are some key findings:

• e-VCCs can streamline the fund management industry using blockchain technology, reducing intermediaries and redundant processes.

• Tokenization of a VCC is applicable at both umbrella VCC and sub-fund VCC levels. This gives investors greater flexibility in allocation, as well as reduced legal liabilities.

Decision makers from organizations such as ShuttleOne, InvestaX and Capbridge are set to share exclusive insights on e-VCC structures, Tokenization of Private Markets and NFTs, and the future of Real World Assets (RWA) in Decentralised Finance (DeFi). The sessions will conclude with a networking session with other movers and shakers in Web3.
