The Tezos ecosystem at SFF 2022: Here’s what you can expect

According to McKinsey, the financial services industry has been the leading trailblazer in the adoption of Web3 technology and digital assets. The massive potential of Web3 is clear - with $32.4 billion in VC investments in 2021 even at a nascent stage. However, McKinsey also asserts that “regulatory oversight, user experience, and the underlying technology will all need to further mature for mainstream adoption to occur.”

The Singapore FinTech Festival returns as an in-person event in 2022 with the theme of ‘Building Resilient Business Models amid Volatility and Change’. Visitors can expect a continuation of an annual presence of the Tezos ecosystem at the Singapore Fintech Festival. In last year’s edition, TZ APAC collaborated with SFF to host Linkin Park founder Mike Shinoda, who shared his knowledge and experience on the convergence of media and finance in the context of Web 3.0.

This year, the Tezos ecosystem will be supercharging its activities at SFF 2022 through a range of Web3 activities and activations, including a Proof of Attendance Token to enhance visitor experience, Innovation Lab Crawls and insightful panel discussions.

Mint your unique SFF2022 Proof of Attendance Token

Visitors to this year’s SFF are able to mint their own personalized SFF2022 Proof of Attendance (PoA) Token on Tezos. For visitors taking their first step into Web3, you can look forward to understanding more about the unlimited potential of NFTs.

Non-fungible Token (NFT) technology is a core underpinning of Web3. In addition to gaining popularity in the arts and entertainment industry, its business use cases are also apparent. With the digital representation of real-world assets and smart contracts, NFTs offer security, transparency, and flexibility. Some of its enterprise applications include:

• Tokenizing identity certification and documentation, assuring authenticity and efficiency
• Represent ownership of real-world and digital property, bypassing the need for intermediaries
• Providing transparency and provenance in supply chain and product authentication
• Managing ownership of trademarks and Intellectual Property

TZ APAC has also organized a visitor experience where collectors of the SFF 2022 PoA token will enjoy the utility of claiming a coffee treat.

The SFF PoA NFT collection can be done at a designated area at the heart of Hall 3 of the Singapore Expo, right next to the ecosystem stage.

“Building Resilient Web3 Companies in APAC” - 2 November 2022, 1 pm

TZ APAC Managing Director Katherine Ng will be involved in two panel discussions during SFF 2022. In this panel on “Building Resilient Web3 Companies in APAC”, attendees can expect to uncover insights on:

• The current state of Web3 and crypto; and the megatrends within
• The unique culture of blockchain ecosystems from leading crypto-natives
• Blockchain adoption and regulation outlook in South East Asia

The incumbent entertainment sector is getting disrupted positively for artists; with the advent of tokenization, artists and celebrities can monetize their intangibles and trade these new economy digital assets. This first-of-a-kind dialogue will examine some of these trends with market makers and producers.

In this panel, attendees can expect to uncover insights on:

• The role of exchanges in developing these markets
• The opportunities as seen through the eyes of artists
• Building web3 ecosystems

SFF Innovation Lab Crawl by TZ APAC Tezos Developer Hub

The TZ APAC Tezos Developer Hub is opening its doors to participants of SFF 2022 as part of the Innovation Lab Crawl. Riveting discussions on crucial Web3 topics are high on the agenda, with some of the industry’s most senior personalities gathering on 31 October and 1 November for a host of action-packed panels. In addition to gleaning important insights, participants will also get the opportunity to network and exchange ideas with other like-minded professionals in the Web3 and FinTech spaces.

• Day 1 will see Julian Kwan (Co-Founder, Investax) and Alice Chen (Co-Founder, InvestaX) talk about e-Variable Capital Companies, the new corporate structure for investment funds in Singapore, and on Investax as a platform.

Hong Zhuang (Founder, ShuttleOne) and Julian Low (Adoption Consultant, TZ APAC) will discuss the future of Real World Assets in DeFi.
