Crypto Art Week 2022: A Celebration of Asian Artistic Culture

From 28-30 September, Crypto Art Week Asia will light up Singapore’s Haw Par Villa with the charm and vibrance of art produced by some of Asia’s stellar creators. Experience a showcase of what the best talents across the region can do. Get mesmerized by visually stunning art and party to live music from the hottest DJs. For your learning pleasure, TZ APAC has also organized a series of intriguing talks and workshops by leading generative artist radarboy3000 and Oscar-nominated sound director Ruanth Chrisley Thyssen.

From classical to street art, avant-garde experimental styles and cutting-edge aural performances, CAWA 2022 promises to supercharge the community’s creative batteries.

Workshop, talks, and meetups organized by TZ APAC

The spirit of learning and community is intertwined with art. Artists can look forward to a series of events and workshops organized by TZ APAC that seek to shed knowledge on new artistic frontiers and build tight-knit communities.

• Tezos presents: Generative Art Lecture by radarboy3000 (28 September 2022, 4-5 pm)

Take a step into the future, and learn how to harness the power of technology to break artistic boundaries. Accomplished generative artist and founder of CAWA, radarboy3000 shares his hard-won experience and insights on how he creates such breathtaking generative art. There will also be a Q&A session, where artists and fans may learn more about his process and views on NFT art.

• Tezos presents: “Provenance in NFTs and upgrades”, a lecture by Ruanth Chrisley Thyssen (29 September 2022, 4-5 pm)

Ruanth Chrisley Thyssen is a 1x Oscar Nominated, 2x BAFTA Nominated Sound Designer, and has long been involved in the world of NFTs.

Like all pieces of artwork, the Mona Lisa’s storied history plays a huge role in its value and place in culture today. For NFTs, transaction and ownership history is recorded on the blockchain, which helps to ensure authenticity and transparency. Artists and serious collectors will greatly benefit from the knowledge imparted by Ruanth, which will allow them to create, trade, and collect NFTs with peace of mind.

• Creative Coder Meet Up and Sharing, supported by Tezos (30 September 2022, 4-5 pm)

The Tezos ecosystem continuously seeks to educate, enable and empower artists. What better way to do so then to encourage a tight-knit community of passionate individuals?

At the Creative Coder meet-up, creatives will be immersed in a vibrant environment where they can connect with each other and share their hard-earned knowledge, skills, and experience. For any artists with a budding or established interest in creative coding, this will be a valuable opportunity to make genuine connections with other passionate artists seeking to improve their craft.

Tezos artists at CAWA 2022

CAWA 2022 is organized by the one and only George Galanakis, also known as radarboy3000. George is an experimental new media artist, who is well-known in the South East Asian art scene. He’s also been a long-time supporter of the Tezos ecosystem and has played a significant role in building up its vibrant art scene. With George at its helm, it isn’t surprising that CAWA has attracted an incredibly deep talent pool that calls Tezos home, including some of our #StarsofTZAPAC!

• Arya Mularama (Gogoporen)

Gogoporen’s work sits at the intersection of where dark meets light, balancing his vibrant pop culture style with underlying themes of mental illness. Inspired by his anxiety, his art speaks to the duality of human nature.

CAWA attendees will be delighted to hear that the ticket is a unique beautiful NFT profile picture designed by Gogoporen.

• CS Lim

Hailing from South Korea, CS Lim is an AI developer who seeks to share with us through art a glimpse of the secret world that he sees through the eyes of AI. Inspired by vast and mysterious concepts of the universe that modern physics explores, CS Lim expresses the idea of the multiverse. A true trailblazer, Lim’s bold work is rapidly gaining renown within the Tezos NFT ecosystem.

• Jakestudyos

Jakestudyo’s work embodies a story of inspiration, hope, and healing. Growing up in the Phillippines, his bold and unapologetic artistic style is shaped by ubiquitous street art from unconformist visionaries who use the world as their canvas. Diagnosed with depression, Jakestudyos uses his art as self-expression and to communicate his mental health journey, pouring his heart and soul into playful yet thought-provoking visual pieces and flowing poetry verses.

Secret Walls, 7:00 PM Thurs Sep 29: The world-famous paint battle Secret Walls comes to the shores of Singapore for the very first time! Artists will go head-to-head in a 2 vs 2 freestyle battle featuring local artists, Ceno2, Slac Satu, Antz, and Arya Mularama. DJ Vandal helms the deck for Secret Walls - expect an eclectic mix of hip-hop and breaks!
