10 Clean NFT Projects on Tezos you need to know about

Creator
March 25, 2022

Tezos has quickly become the blockchain of choice for artists and creatives looking to mint digital art, music and other creative endeavors as non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Now, big brands ranging from Formula 1 to fashion are joining the party.

The passion economy, a term venture capitalist Li Jin coined in 2019, is the new attention economy. And it’s enabling digital artists to monetise their creations while providing fans with access to their idols via unique online memorabilia.

It’s not just up and coming artists embracing the Tezos blockchain. In 2021, Christie’s announced $150 million in non-fungible token sales, the esteemed auction house’s highest sales in five years.

But global brands and events are quickly realizing there’s more to it than jumping on the NFT bandwagon and that there are tangible benefits to choosing the right blockchain solution and that includes the environmental factor.

The Tezos network’s energy-efficient Proof of Stake design has an estimated annual energy consumption of around 0.001 TWh. This means minting NFTs on Tezos is not only better for the environment but also more cost efficient for creators.

  1. OneOf.com, May 2021

ONEOF uses more than 2 million times less energy per NFT than other platforms. It also gives pop culture and sport fanatics the chance to bid on or buy a digital piece of music or sporting history. A generation-agnostic marketplace includes an NFT of Muhammad Ali’s 2016 Sports Illustrated cover, ‘Gravity’ a rare diamond-tier NFT of Ben Ditto artworks featuring pop star Pia Mia’s creative direction, and a black Gibson ES-335 gloss acoustic electric guitar signed by Rolling Stones legend, Keith Richards, and accompanied by a four-second NFT of Richards signing the guitar at NYC’s Germano Studios. $0 minting cost means fans of all budgets can afford to connect with their favorite musicians and sporting legends. Users can purchase NFTs with a credit card, or bid on items.
